01.Introduction & Operating Entity
Fixcars.ai ("we," "our," or "us") is an AI-powered vehicle diagnostic and maintenance assistance platform owned, developed, and operated by Oahu Autoshop LLC, a Hawaii limited liability company based in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States.
This Privacy Policy details how Oahu Autoshop LLC collects, uses, protects, and discloses information when you use the Fixcars.ai web platform, mobile applications distributed on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, or communicate with our support team. We respect driver privacy and believe in total transparency regarding your vehicle and personal data.
02.Information We Collect
To provide AI automotive diagnostics, troubleshoot OBD-II fault codes, maintain your virtual garage, and deliver customer support, we collect the following categories of data:
- Full Name and verified Email Address
- Authentication credentials (securely hashed passwords, or your Sign in with Apple / Google account identifiers and tokens)
- Account preferences and selected language (English, Spanish, Chinese)
- Vehicle symptom descriptions (sounds, smells, driving behaviors)
- Diagnostic conversation logs and interactive diagnostic answers
- OBD-II trouble codes (e.g. P0300, P0420) and system scan results
- Vehicle Make, Model, Year, Engine displacement, and Mileage
- Optional Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN)
- Photos uploaded for AI visual inspection (dashboard warning lights, engine bay, invoices), stored with your diagnosis
- PRO status, pass end date, and subscription status
- App Store purchases (iPhone/iPad): processed by Apple and confirmed through RevenueCat, which receives your Fixcars.ai user ID and Apple's purchase records; we store the store transaction ID, plan, dates, and amount
- Web payments: processed by PayPal; we store the PayPal order or subscription ID, plan, dates, and amount
- Notice: Oahu Autoshop LLC does not process or store raw payment card numbers
- If you allow location access, your device's precise location is sent to our servers to find nearby repair shops. It is not saved to your account.
- Our servers send only an approximate location (rounded to roughly 100 meters) to the OpenStreetMap-based services listed below, and cache shop results for that rounded area without any account identifier.
- Addresses or places you type are sent to those geodata services to look them up. Your device's own map service (Apple or Google) turns your position into a place name.
- When you record a voice description, the audio is sent to OpenAI for transcription.
- We do not store the audio: it is discarded once transcribed. Only the text you then send becomes part of your conversation.
- Community posts are public: threads, comments, the vehicle details you add to a thread, your display name, profile photo, badge, and points can be seen by anyone, including people without an account. The public leaderboard shows top members' names, photos, and points.
- Votes, points history, and reward redemptions are linked to your account.
- If you link Telegram, we store your numeric Telegram user ID and the chat and message IDs needed to deliver answers there. Telegram's own privacy policy applies to your use of Telegram.
- Without an account, a random guest token is kept on your device so you can reopen your diagnoses; we store only a one-way hash of it.
- We store the IP address of each diagnosis session (guest or signed in) and of login sessions (with the browser or app user agent), and use IP addresses for free-usage limits, rate limiting, and abuse and fraud prevention.
- Usage counters (diagnoses, chat messages, voice transcriptions) used to enforce plan limits.
03.How We Use Data & AI Processing
Data collected by Oahu Autoshop LLC is used strictly to provide, maintain, and improve Fixcars.ai services:
- Generating AI-assisted automotive diagnostic probabilities, step-by-step repair guides, and part cost estimates.
- Maintaining your personalized Virtual Garage and vehicle maintenance histories.
- Answering customer inquiries, processing subscription changes, and providing technical support.
- Finding repair shops near the location you share, and delivering expert mechanic answers in the app or on Telegram if you linked it.
- Enforcing free usage limits and rate limits, preventing abuse and fraud (for example, referral fraud), and keeping the service secure and reliable using our own server logs.
- Sending account emails (verification, password reset) and support replies.

05.Data Security & Encryption
All communications between your device and Fixcars.ai servers are protected by Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2+ / TLS 1.3). Sensitive account information and database backups are encrypted at rest using AES-256 standard encryption.
06.Data Retention & Erasure Rights
You maintain total ownership of your personal data. You may request deletion of your account, vehicle profiles, and chat histories at any time:
In the mobile app, go to Profile → Delete Account and type DELETE to confirm (your password is also required for email accounts); deletion happens immediately. You can also submit a deletion request on our web portal, which our team processes within 24 to 48 business hours.
Upon account deletion, your profile and credentials, saved vehicles, diagnosis sessions (including uploaded photos and the IP addresses stored with them), community posts, comments, votes and points, linked Telegram ID, and login sessions are permanently deleted, an active PayPal subscription is cancelled, and a Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked. Records of App Store purchases (transaction ID, plan, dates, and amount) are kept so a purchase cannot be restored twice and for accounting. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
07.Children's Privacy
Fixcars.ai is a vehicle repair tool for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact support@fixcars.ai and we will delete it.
